International standards play a crucial role in ensuring that steel wire products meet the specific requirements of different applications and markets. At Shreeji Wire Industries, we manufacture products compliant with IS, ASTM, DIN, and JIS standards.

IS (Indian Standards)

Indian Standards such as IS 4454 and IS 1835 define requirements for steel wires used in various applications within India. These standards specify chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensional tolerances, and testing methods.

ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)

ASTM standards are widely recognized internationally and are often specified by multinational OEMs. Key standards like ASTM A227, A228, and A401 define requirements for various grades of steel wire used in spring manufacturing and other applications.

DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung)

DIN standards from Germany are highly regarded for their precision and technical rigor. DIN EN 10264 covers steel wire and wire products for ropes, while DIN EN 10270 covers steel wire for mechanical springs.

JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards)

JIS standards are essential for supplying to Japanese OEMs and their supply chains. JIS G 3521 (hard drawn steel wire) and JIS G 3522 (piano wire) are among the most commonly referenced standards.

Understanding these standards helps ensure that the right product is specified for each application, optimizing performance and reliability in the end product.
